More Google vs. Microsoft News

Another article on the increasing competition between Google and Microsoft. This is shaping up to be real interesting and I am anxious to see how Microsoft responds. I think the "search hill" is the biggest and hardest to climb right now since Google is so entrenched in that space and it will take a huge differentation between services to make someone switch (don't look at my default search engine anytime soon). I'm more dubious of Google's ability to make things amazingly different on the desktop, espcially in a way where Microsoft cannot answer with an as good or better offering. That's our home turf. But anything that allows me to extend that experience from a data availability perspective (running apps of the Internet does not match my work style so that is a non-starter for me), the happier I will be.
