Ok,
this article covers at a high level what James Gosling said recently and it has permanently put Gosling into my category of "smart guy now more worried about making his past work look good and getting buzz in the media". It's a category with a long name, but it seems to fit.
I haven't read exactly what he said (bad on me but that is why this post is a rant), but I have followed a few other articles and comments on his remarks and it seems he is making some really misleading statements, or he is just an idiot. Gosling seems to be a guy that is really upset how his Java baby is no longer a media darling and the fact that some people dare like some things about .NET better than his creation, and it has drifven him over the edge. Dr. Frankenstein is upset with the villagers.
