Presenters style left a bit to be desired, but some cool stuff none the less:
- 65M users - 3Billion page hits - 2nd largest site on Internet suprassing Google, eBay, MSN per MediaMetrix
- Huge props to ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005
- ASP.NET 2.0 code roll out reduced CPU usage from 85% to 27%
- 246 servers to 150 servers
Some really cool stuff on what MySpace will do in Vista timeframe. They will be releasing a gadget for the Vista sidebar that ties you live to MySpace. See pictures, friends, links, etc. all the time - no need to go to the browser. It was the utlimate "sticky" web site and was very compelling for a way to stay connected with your audience. It think the sidebar and gadgets could be a very big thing in this type of scenario. Imagine eBay listings in my sidebar. News feeds, whatever. Very very cool
A lot of props to Atlas for functionality, extensibility and speed of use and time to market. Heart of their new Profile management feature.
