WPF in the Real World

10/16/2007 6:25:39 AM

I've been meaning to blog about this for a while, but I've had some great conversations with Shannon Braun around work he has been doing on a real-world, enterprise grade business application using WPF.  Shannon is a .NET guru and waaay smarter than me, so it's been interesting to get his take on working with WPF at the large retailer headquartered in Minneapolis.  Hmmmm.... ;-)

Anyway, I will be doing an interview with Shannon in the hopefully not to distant future talking about his experiences building a large WPF app.  Some of the early nuggets:

- Not having a DataGrid really isn't that big a deal

- The designer-developer workflow could be better but is still pretty good

- There is a learning curve but the benefits is worth it

I'll be getting my interview gear soon so keep you eyes peeled for a good video.  Good change we will get in in Code2Live as well.
