.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Released

.NET 3.5 SP1 officially released today and along with it has come a ton of great new stuff.  Just a few quick highlights:

  • Entity Framework and Entity Designer now available - team blog here
  • ADO.NET Data Services (Astoria) is now available - team blog here
  • SLQ Server 2008 support
  • WPF gets a 20-25% performance boost with zero code changes
  • WCF improvements
  • Optimized Client Runtime - shrinks Framework bootstrap install to under 20MB for client applications!
  • And much more
